A Surrey man has been charged with second-degree murder after a woman, identified as 33-year-old Pawitarpreet Kaur Sidhu, was found dead inside her home on April 26. Police deployed the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team following evidence found at the scene. Hardeep Sidhu, 39, was arrested on May 1 and charged with the crime. The Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit and the Canadian Border Services Agency were involved in his capture. Authorities believe the incident was an isolated event between parties known to each other.
