57-year-old actor Don Gilet, known for his roles in EastEnders and Desmond's, is set to replace Ralf Little as the lead detective in BBC's Death in Paradise. Gilet will portray Detective Inspector Mervin Wilson in a Christmas special later this year and a new series in 2025. Gilet has previously appeared in Death In Paradise in series four and has starred in other television series such as Holby City, Silent Witness, Doctor Who, Shetland, and The Stranger.
