US FTC requests additional info on Novo Holdings' $16.5B acquisition of Catalent.
The US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has requested additional information about Novo Nordisk's parent, Novo Holdings, acquiring manufacturing subcontractor Catalent for $16.5 billion. The deal was announced in February, with the Novo Nordisk Foundation refiling its application to the US FTC for regulatory approval. Novo Holdings and Catalent are currently gathering information and documents to respond to the FTC's request, and expect to close the deal towards the end of 2024.
