TVNZ's Midday News, hosted by Indira Stewart, has aired its final bulletin due to media cuts and job losses. The afternoon news show has been a fixture in New Zealand for years, and Stewart paid tribute to the crew and dedicated viewers. TVNZ announced in March it would cut 68 jobs and potentially axe several programs, including the midday bulletin, Fair Go, and Sunday, as well as the late-night news bulletins.
