Singapore's retail sales increased 2.7% year-on-year in March, slowing from the 8.6% growth in February, according to the Department of Statistics. Motor vehicle sales grew 7.0% while excluding them, retail sales rose 2.0%. Food and alcohol sales led the growth with a 17% year-on-year increase. The estimated retail sales value in March was 4.2 billion Singapore dollars, including 11.7% from online market.
