Singapore's FDI rose 10% to S$214 billion ($158 billion) in 2023, driven by increased equity capital and retained earnings, according to the Department of Statistics. Finance and insurance services made up over half of the total FDI flows. The US, Netherlands, China, Japan, and Hong Kong were Singapore's top FDI source economies, contributing 64% of the total inward direct investment flows.
