Scottish Fire and Rescue Service issues "extreme" wildfire warning for north-west Scotland due to heat.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) has issued an "extreme" wildfire warning for north-west Scotland after some of the hottest temperatures of the year were recorded. Visitors and residents are being advised to avoid using naked flames outdoors as the region experiences increased visitor numbers. The warning comes after a wildfire in Connel, Argyll and Bute, which took crews nine hours to extinguish.
