Rivian Automotive receives $827 million incentive package from Illinois state to expand its Normal facility, delaying the construction of a second factory in Georgia. Rivian's shares rose nearly 7% following the announcement. The funding will support the production of its less expensive R2 model at the first plant in Normal, Illinois, and the expansion will create more than 550 jobs.
