Ontario introduces a new skilled trades program for high school students in Grades 11 and 12, allowing them to spend 80% of their time in co-op courses related to skilled trades. This new program, part of the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program, aims to address the province's need for 500,000 more workers in the skilled trades sector over the next decade to meet infrastructure demands. Students will still need to take math and English courses.
