Nova Scotia retains motor vehicle inspection system and frequency after reviewing fees and safety concerns.

Nova Scotia's Public Works Minister Kim Masland announced the province will keep its motor vehicle inspection system after reviewing the possibility of removing fees for vehicle safety checks. The government considered changing the inspection frequency but ultimately decided against it due to safety concerns and public support. Vehicle inspections in Nova Scotia are required every two years, except for new cars with a three-year sticker.
