100 pro-democracy groups in Nigeria, under the Good Governance Situation Room, named Governors Mohammed Umar Bago of Niger State and Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State as recipients of the "Best Performing Governor of the Year" award. The coalition assessed the achievements of all governors in their first year in office, collecting data through the internet and physical assessments of state conditions.
