The US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has closed a 3-year-long investigation into Tesla Model S and X vehicles over concerns about loss of rearview camera display. The NHTSA said Tesla's recall and subsequent remedy for the issue appear to address the risk presented by the failure of a device within the cameras. The regulator will continue to monitor the issue and the effectiveness of the recall.
