A new memorial campaign is launched for UK journalists killed in conflict zones at the National Memorial Arboretum.
A campaign, led by Press Gazette, TALA's Andrew Baud, and a group of journalists, has been launched to create a new memorial for UK journalists who have lost their lives reporting from conflict zones. Since 2000, 16 UK reporters have died, and last year, 128 media workers were killed worldwide, according to the International Federation of Journalists. The campaign aims to construct the On The Record memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum in Alrewas.
