Berlin's government plans to give away Joseph Goebbels' Villa Bogensee for maintenance.

Berlin's government plans to give away a villa once owned by Joseph Goebbels, offering the property as a "gift from the state of Berlin" to anyone willing to take on the responsibility of its maintenance. The Villa Bogensee stands on a 17-hectare plot of land just outside Berlin and was built for Nazi propaganda chief Joseph Goebbels in 1936. The site has been unused since 2000, and Berlin’s finance minister, Stefan Evers, hopes that the offer will help to end the decades-long debate over whether to repurpose or demolish the disused site.
