26-year-old former Piedmont Middle School teacher, Max Martin, was arrested and charged with sex crimes against a student. The Union County Sheriff's Office began their investigation after students reported receiving inappropriate communications from Martin through his social media accounts. He is charged with one count of indecent liberties with a child and one count of indecent liberties with a student.
