Amphibious assault ship USS Boxer experiences mechanical issues with its starboard rudder and is being repaired at Naval Station San Diego. The ship was forced to return to San Diego in early April, interrupting a deployment that had already been delayed by other mechanical problems. The Navy plans to execute repairs at the pier without a dry dock and aims to have the ship resume its deployment as soon as this summer.
