Urgent warnings have been issued to UK dog owners as cases of Alabama rot, a "flesh-eating" dog disease, continue to rise. The disease, which can lead to kidney failure and has a high fatality rate, damages blood vessels in dogs' skin and kidneys. Veterinarian Dr Corinne Wigfall has advised pet owners to be aware of symptoms and prevention measures, as the exact cause of Alabama rot remains unknown.
