A group of squatters protested outside Kloster Ford after police evicted them from a vacant house they had been living in on Parry Street, Hamilton East, owned by the Kloster Motor Group. The house was set for demolition and replacement with a car park. The squatters claimed they were "locked out of the housing market" and had resorted to squatting as they were unable to obtain private rentals.
