Shanghai's total loan balance increased 7% YoY to 11.4 trillion yuan in February, with Chinese yuan loans up 8.2% and foreign currency loans down 13.9%.

Shanghai's total loan balance, including all currencies, increased by 7% year-on-year to 11.4 trillion yuan (US$1.61 trillion) by the end of February, according to official data. Chinese yuan loans rose 8.2% year-on-year to 10.83 trillion yuan, while foreign currency loans dropped 13.9% to 81.1 billion USD. Shanghai's deposit balance also climbed 6.5% to 20.46 trillion yuan by the same period.
