Melfort Mustangs win SJHL title, defeating Flin Flon Bombers 4-1; represent SJHL at upcoming Centennial Cup.
The Melfort Mustangs have captured their fifth Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) title, winning the Canterra Seeds Cup after a 4-1 victory over the top-seeded Flin Flon Bombers. Aidyn Hutchinson scored twice, and James Venne made 29 saves in the game six win. The Mustangs will represent the SJHL at the Centennial Cup in Oakville, Ontario starting next week. This is their first league title since 2016.
