Henkel's hot melt adhesive formulas for packaging reduce carbon footprint by 25% using biobased tackifiers and polyolefin elastomers from Dow and Kraton.

Dow, Henkel, and Kraton have reduced the carbon footprint of two of Henkel's hot melt adhesive formulas for end-of-line packaging by 25%. This is achieved by using Kraton's SYLVALITE 2200 biobased tackifiers and Dow's AFFINITY GA polyolefin elastomers in the proprietary formulation, which maintains equivalent performance and food-safe properties. The companies collaborate on sustainability efforts in the North American consumer goods industry.
