Georgia's first national park is moving forward with bipartisan legislation introduced by the state's congressional delegation. The proposed Ocmulgee Mounds Park and Preserve would protect ancestral lands of the Muscogee tribe and include significant cultural and historic sites along the Ocmulgee River. The park would be the first to be co-managed by a removed tribe, the Muscogee (Creek) Nation.
