2 fishermen missing since last seen fishing from rocks in Taiharuru, Northland, on May 1st. Search efforts resumed on May 2nd involving Police Search and Rescue, LandSAR volunteers, the Police Air Support Unit, Coastguard Tutukaka, and other local agencies. Vehicle and belongings found on the beach but no sign of the fishermen. Authorities will request more resources if needed. Families of missing fishermen updated and supported by the police.
