The U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is moving to prevent Chinese telecoms, including Huawei and ZTE, deemed to pose national security concerns, from certifying wireless equipment in the U.S. The FCC plans to vote on a proposal that ensures telecommunications certification bodies and test labs certifying wireless devices for the U.S. market are not influenced by companies posing security concerns. The agency denied Huawei's test lab participation in the equipment authorization program last week.
