1916 Easter Rising rifle belonging to Shane MacGowan's widow reported missing and suspected stolen.
Shane MacGowan's widow, Victoria Mary Clarke, has reported that his historically significant rifle from the 1916 Easter Rising, a key event in Irish history, has gone missing and is suspected to have been stolen. The Lee-Enfield rifle was a birthday gift from a musician friend and was used during the Irish rebellion against British rule, specifically at the General Post Office in Dublin. MacGowan, the frontman of The Pogues, passed away in November 2023.
