Police in Australia arrested two Chinese nationals for allegedly operating an online phishing scam that sent over 1.7M fake texts. The scam used SIM boxes to send fraudulent links directing victims to fake websites, stealing money and identity information. The suspects were arrested at their Gold Coast residence on April 18 after a search warrant on March 23 found two SIM boxes and SIM cards.
