China dominated the global wind turbine market in 2023, accounting for 65% of new wind capacity, with four Chinese original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) ranking in the top five globally, according to a report by Wood Mackenzie. Goldwind installed a record 16.3GW of wind power capacity, followed by Envision, Vestas, Windey, and MingYang. Vestas, the only Western OEM in the top five, connected 11.5GW of wind power globally in 2023.
