30-year-old Irish Air Corps Lieutenant Conal Sheeran was found unresponsive at Casement Aerodrome in Baldonnel and pronounced dead. Sheeran, who joined the Defence Forces in 2012, held various appointments, including the Flight Training School, 506 Squadron, and No. 5 Ops Wing HQ. The Chief of Staff of the Defence Forces, Lieutenant General Sean Clancy, expressed deepest condolences to Sheeran's family, friends, and colleagues.
