Prince William visited the James' Place suicide prevention center for men in Newcastle, raising awareness for the charity founded in 2008 after the tragic death of Clare Milford Haven and Nick Wentworth-Stanley's son, James. Service user Dean Stewart expressed that the royal's visit would "one hundred percent" help save lives by increasing public awareness of the organization's work. William also engaged in conversations with men who have struggled with their mental health. In addition, the Prince of Wales visited Low Carbon Materials in Seaham, County Durham, a 2022 Earthshot Prize finalist that manufactures low-carbon construction materials.
