Illinois' Governor and First Lady have donated a key Civil War document signed by Abraham Lincoln to the state's Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum. The document, dated April 19, 1861, ordered the blockade of Southern U.S. ports after the Confederate attack on Fort Sumter initiated the Civil War. The Pritzkers, who purchased the document at auction, plan to visit the museum that will house the artifact.
