Chinese researchers have initiated a 2024 Arctic expedition at the Yellow River Station, China's first Arctic research station located in Svalbard, a Norwegian archipelago. Over 50 researchers will participate in seasonal expeditions spanning four quarters, focusing on glaciology, terrestrial and marine ecology, and space physics. Post-pandemic expeditions resumed last July, and Chinese and Norwegian scientists have jointly studied environmental pollutants in the Arctic.
