Alberta's Highline Mushrooms, the world's largest organic mushroom grower, seeks water assistance, requiring 53,000 cubic meters yearly for its Crossfield facility.

Alberta's Highline Mushrooms, the world's largest organic mushroom grower and only commercial mushroom grower in the province, is seeking water assistance. The company, which employs 240 people in Rocky View County, requires 53,000 cubic metres of water yearly. Its facility outside Crossfield, which produces 10 million lbs of mushrooms annually, is not connected to a water main, prompting six to ten daily tanker truck deliveries.
