18-year-olds Evan Browne and Callum Quinn, new qualified bricklayers, address UK's construction skills shortage through 18-month NHBC apprenticeship.
18-year-old Evan Browne and Callum Quinn, both employed by housebuilder Keepmoat, are new, qualified bricklayers tackling the UK's construction skills shortage. They began their qualifications in October 2022 in partnership with the National House Building Council (NHBC), which provides an 18-month apprenticeship programme. Construction companies must find 225,000 more workers by 2027 due to the aging workforce and declining young people joining traditional trades.
