31-year-old Newberry man, Eric Rashun Jones, has been sentenced to 40 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to human trafficking conspiracy and other charges. From August 2018 to November 2022, Jones violently exploited women in the commercial sex trade, using physical violence and force, including beating victims with a pistol and other objects. Jones also recorded the assaults on his phone and used sexual violence to coerce commercial sex.
