Walmart launches its largest store-label food brand, Bettergoods, targeting budget-conscious consumers with high-quality, affordable products.

Walmart has launched its largest store-label food brand in 20 years, called Bettergoods, targeting younger, brand-agnostic customers who favor high-quality, affordable foods. The brand currently has around 300 products ranging from $2 to $15, with most priced under $5. This move follows inflation-driven demand for cheaper alternatives, with private-label brands accounting for nearly 26% of the overall food and beverage market share in units sold last year, compared to 74.5% for national brands.
