Ed Chattaway, a Texarkana resident of nearly 50 years, has been appointed as interim chief of police for the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department. With nearly 30 years of service in various roles, Chattaway has a "solid reputation in the community" and is well-respected within the department. He will assume the duties on May 3, and City Manager Robert Thompson expressed confidence in Chattaway's ability to lead the department.
