South Sydney has sacked head coach Jason Demetriou after the team's poor start to the 2024 NRL season, winning only one of their first seven games. The Rabbitohs board met twice on Tuesday to discuss Demetriou's future, ultimately deciding to relieve him of his duties. The club has yet to confirm a replacement for Demetriou ahead of their clash against Penrith on Thursday.
