Rhode Island's Law Enforcement Officers' Bill of Rights (LEOBOR) reform efforts are underway, with the R.I. League of Cities and Towns urging state lawmakers to agree on changes. The legislation, which aims to reform police officer misconduct law, was unanimously passed by the Senate in January but has yet to emerge from committee in the House. Efforts to reform the law have been ongoing since the murder of George Floyd in 2020.
