Identity and access management firm Okta reports an "unprecedented" scale of credential stuffing attacks, using previously compromised credentials and scripting tools. The attacks involve requests being routed through anonymizing services including TOR and residential proxies, potentially linking to Cisco's VPN service attacks earlier this year. Okta's Identity Threat Research found a surge in credential stuffing activity against user accounts from April 19 to 26, 2024.
