2-meter sinkhole at University Ave W & Church St in downtown Windsor closed intersection until assessment, not a watermain issue.

A sinkhole in downtown Windsor has closed the intersection of University Avenue West and Church Street, with roads remaining closed until at least 9am Tuesday for assessment. The sinkhole, which measures at least two meters across, appeared around 5:30pm on Monday. Enwin Utilities crews are on site but confirm it is not a watermain issue. The City of Windsor has cordoned off the area for safety.
