India is taking allegations of an assassination plot against Sikh separatist leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannun seriously, the White House has said. According to The Washington Post, a RAW officer named Vikram Yadav was allegedly involved in the plot, with the move approved by the previous Indian spy agency chief Samant Goel. Pannun, a key figure in the Khalistan movement, is the legal advisor and spokesperson for Sikhs for Justice, an organisation advocating for a separate Sikh state. The Indian government has designated Pannun as a terrorist.
