Azerbaijan's Ecology Minister met with Japan's Environment Minister to discuss Japan's $10m pledge for climate finance.

Azerbaijan's Ecology Minister, Mukhtar Babayev, met with Japan's Environment Minister, Shintaro Ito, to discuss Japan's role in climate finance. Last year, Japan pledged $10m to the Loss and Damage Fund, a critical part of the global climate finance framework. Babayev, as President-Designate of COP29, is also Azerbaijan's Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources.
