41-year-old Verbena man, Phillip L. Williams, died in a two-vehicle crash on Sunday evening in Chilton County, Alabama. Williams' 2023 Volkswagen Atlas struck the rear of a 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by 35-year-old Kayla Montgomery on U.S. 31, three miles south of Verbena. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is investigating the incident, which resulted in Williams being ejected from his vehicle due to not wearing a seatbelt.
