Victorian horticulture company Lotus Farm Pty Ltd & director Son Thai were fined $130,806 & $28,987 respectively for underpaying, falsifying records, & unlawful deductions. The company, which produces tomatoes & cucumbers, failed to meet Vietnamese workers' minimum pay, casual loading, overtime, & public holiday rates. The company has since introduced changes to prevent similar non-compliance.
