On April 28, a suspicious fire occurred in an abandoned house on Ross Road, West Kelowna. Firefighters were called at 6:30 p.m. and contained the blaze to prevent it from spreading. They used an excavator to knock down the building due to danger. The cause of the fire remains undetermined but is considered suspicious. The abandoned mobile home fire on the same day is also being investigated as suspicious.
