South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Tae-yul and Defence Minister Shin Won-sik met with Australian PM Anthony Albanese in Canberra to strengthen security and defence industry cooperation, discussing regional security, Indo-Pacific strategy, military-defence ties, and North Korea. The ministers vowed to further advance their "comprehensive strategic partnership." South Korea was supported by Australia during the 1950-53 Korean War.
