Nigerian court temporarily halts MultiChoice Nigeria's DStv/GOtv subscription cost increase.

A Nigerian court has temporarily halted MultiChoice Nigeria, owner of DStv and GOtv, from increasing subscription costs set to take effect on May 1st. The Competition and Consumer Protection Tribunal (CCPT) granted the interim order following a motion from Festus Onifade, the applicant. The ruling requires MultiChoice to refrain from proceeding with the scheduled price increase until further notice.
