The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has opened an investigation into Ford's BlueCruise partially automated driving system after two fatal crashes involving Mustang Mach-E electric vehicles. The probe will evaluate the system's driving tasks and camera-based driver monitoring system, which were active in both accidents. This is the first known incident of fatalities involving the use of BlueCruise.
