Student Brianna McLeod, along with FAMU PD and Title IX staff, led a self-defense workshop at Florida A&M University during Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month. The workshop aimed to educate students on sexual assault, consent, self-defense, safety, and prevention, as well as provide resources for victims. This initiative highlights the urgent need for sustained awareness and action to address the issue of sexual assault, which affects one American every 68 seconds, including one child every nine minutes.
