Co-op urges Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) candidates to address rising retail crime, driven by repeat and prolific offenders. Co-op calls on communities to write to PCC candidates, urging them to fully implement the NPCC Retail Crime Action Plan, including enforcing a new stand-alone offence of assault against shop workers. The Co-op has invested £200m in colleague and store safety and security over recent years.
